Surprised in the best way!
What an enchanting experience in this historical gem! The tranquil setting by the lake allowed for serene mornings, especially during sunrise. The spacious, clean rooms were complemented by a friendly staff. The atmosphere reminded me of stepping back in time, capturing old-world charm while ensuring eco-friendliness. A perfect retreat for families or couples alike!

It was an absolutely charming and lovely hotel with lake views and free Wi-Fi. Very nice and courteous staff especially around service and nothing was trouble for them. The breakfast was free, a huge variety of food...

The place is incredibly beautiful, the staff are very-very nice and courteous.
Need to stay in this 4 star hotel. The units are new-fashioned, huge with balcony and a very nice bath plus internet.

Sitting in a serene spot surrounded by the mountains, you get amazing views right from the hotel. Ice skating on the frozen lake just steps outside the front door is a thrill worth experiencing, and the hotel's commitment to organic food stands out in every bite.
Some issues crept up . Although my room was perfectly fine, I found the overall vibe a bit off. It felt mainly tailored for specific gatherings. The WiFi barely reached my room, and the absence of a mini fridge in a place so remote is puzzling. Breakfast pricing left me scratching my head-22 Francs didn't seem justified given the options available. Without any convenience for drinks or snacks nearby, they'd benefit from a bar or vending machine to enhance guest comfort.

Beautiful location in the middle of a fantastic landscape, nice building, spacious and good (although nothing "extra") rooms, kitchenette part of the junior suite. Very good price compared to other hotels in the region. Breakfast buffet was versatile and good. Not excellent, but nothing to complain about. Friendly waiters for breakfast. Nordic ski trails just outside the hotel.
Staff not familiar with the closest surroundings, not good at languages (most staff members speak Italian only or very limited English or German) and not very helpful with the smallest requests. The spa area is not really a spa. There's a hamam kind of sauna, a regular sauna and a regular/small jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was pretty cold, so no one used it when we were there. At breakfast, they play loud rock music from a radio. We love that kind of music, but it didn't fit to the location and it was disturbing during breakfast. WiFi didn't work in the room all the time during our stay, but the fixed ethernet did. However, no ethernet cable available. We brought our own wifi router + cable... Don't expect to find a minibar, a collection of bath products or similar in the room and don't expect any accessories like toot brush or similar for sale in the reception. This is a hostel type of place in a fancy building and the management seems to lack a sense for style and service. Btw; the next real alpine ski area is in Sils, about 10 kms away, so bring a car and calculate parking fees at the lift station or pay for the bus and plan well with the time table...

The engagement with the staff was excellent. They were always communicative and attentive to our needs. The apartment offered a amazing view of the mountains, complementing the comfortable and well-equipped kitchen. The absence of help with luggage created a slight inconvenience upon our arrival. The ski deposit was available, but finding a shuttle service was challenging at times .

We booked 3 rooms at the Maloja Palace online and didn't really know anything about it. We drove up to this amazing huge hotel and couldn't believe our luck. We must have got a special deal as it was very reasonably priced. I immediately booked a second night. The rooms were large and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was impressive with the choice and quality.
